Connecticut River

Documents and information relevant to the Connecticut River Joint Commissions (CRJC) and its five subcommittees.

The Connecticut River is designated from the outlet of Fourth Connecticut Lake to the New Hampshire/Massachusetts state line. It is overseen by the Connecticut River Joint Commissions (CRJC) which is made up of representatives from both New Hampshire and Vermont. In New Hampshire, representatives are appointed to the Connecticut River Valley Resource Commission by the Governor and Executive Council or a planning commission. The Connecticut River Valley Resource Commission is the New Hampshire half of CRJC.

In addition to CRJC, five Local River Management Subcommittees (LRSs) act as local stewards for segments of the Connecticut River. Subcommittee members are residents of towns bordering the river in both New Hampshire and Vermont. Subcommittees are listed from north to south, and more information on each is available via the links below or to the right.

To see which LRS an address falls into, use the designated river mapper.
