Riverfront municipalities include Antrim, Bennington, Boscawen, Concord, Deering, Greenfield, Hancock, Henniker, Hillsborough, Jaffrey, Peterborough, Rindge and Stoddard. To check if an address is in the designated river corridor, use the designated river mapper.

The Contoocook River flows 71 miles from Rindge to its confluence with the Merrimack River in Concord. The North Branch River flows 16 miles from Stoddard to its confluence with the Contoocook River in Hillsborough. Both rivers were designated in 1991. At least 117 species of bird depend on these two rivers and their corridors, including two state-endangered species.
