The Mount Ascutney segment of the Connecticut River offers a variety of recreational assets to its region. The upper reaches of the Mount Ascutney segment are home to first-class canoeing, kayaking and trout fishing. Below the Bellows Falls impoundment, motor boating and angling are common in the summer months.
