River-front municipalities include Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack and Nashua. To check if an address is in the designated river corridor, use the designated river mapper.
The Lower Merrimack River was one of the originally designated river segments in 1990. The river segment runs 15 miles from the town line between Bedford and Merrimack to the New Hampshire/Massachusetts border. The river provides drinking water to the cities of Nashua and Manchester as well as additional communities in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
